Absence Of Counsel Stalls Fct National Election Petition Hearing
The hearing of the petition challenging the senator-elect for Fct, Philips Aduda was on Wednesday stalled following the absence of counsel to the petitioner.

The lead counsel to the petitioner Aliyu Lemu was said to be involved in the presidential election petition and did not make the relevant documents available to the council who stood- in for him
the chairman of the tribunal, Justice Ezeoke in his ruling quarried the action of Aliyu Lemu for failing to make all relevant documents available to his stand-in counsel.
He, however, adjourned the case to May 15, 16 and 17, 2019 for hearing.
The Peoples Democratic Movement, PDM, had in March 2019 filed a petition at the national assembly election petition tribunal challenging the declaration of senator Philips Aduda as the winner of the February twenty-three senatorial elections.
