Abuja Airport International Terminal To Become Operational In February 2018

The new international terminal building of the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport Abuja is almost completed and expected to become operational by February next year.
The new date was fixed when the joint committee of the senate and House of Representatives inspected some facilities and projects at the airport on Tuesday.
The Abuja airport new international terminal is part of the 500 million dollars aviation development loan, which was secured in 2013 from china.
The joint senate and House of Representatives committee on aviation went around to inspect the pace of work done so far.
The team’s inspection began from the newly repaired runway to the basement, and departure halls of the terminal building.
The international terminal was initially slated to be completed in 20 months that was after work began in 2013.
The committee stopped at some points, to engage the Chinese engineers handling the projects on how quickly the project can be completed.
When completed the new terminal will tackle passenger congestion currently confronting operations at the airport.
The other three locations for new international terminals are Lagos, port-Harcourt and Kano.
