Air Force Deploys Combat, Intelligence Aircrafts To Plateau
The Nigerian Air Force has deployed an Mi-35P combat helicopter and an Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance aircraft to Plateau State in support of efforts aimed at quelling the crisis that recently erupted in the State.

The deployment of the ISR aircraft is expected to enhance intelligence gathering in the area while the combat helicopter will be conducting armed reconnaissance and other combat air support operations in close coordination with ground forces deployed to the State.
Air Force spokesman, Air Vice Marshal Olatokubo Adesanya says other Air Force assets are available at nearby alternate airfields to hasten the process of restoring normalcy in the State, as the need arises.
Scores have been killed and injured in the violence that erupted in parts of Plateau state.
The Police and military personnel have been deployed to the state in reaction to the violence. Among them is a detachment of the Armed Forces Special Forces, an elite team that was pulled out from the Northeast.
