Anambra Set To Increase Rice Production
Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state says he is committed to increasing rice production from 375,000 metric tons to 650,000 within the four years of his administration's second term in office

Governor Obiano said this while inspecting on-going road projects in Anyamelum local council area
The eighth kilometers omor-umumbo road which traverses several agrarian communities of Anyamelum local government area, according to governor Obiano will aide evacuation of farm produce and improve commercial activities within the affected communities
Governor Obiano also inspected the one hundred meters Umueje bridge which the Anyamelum traditional rulers council chairman Benjamin Okeji described as life saving bridge that will prevent the hazards the people are facing on the river
The Omambala river, governor Obiano said will be used to generate electricity supply for the people of Umueje and neighboring communities.
