Catholic Bishops Call For More Collaboration In Justice Administration

The Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, John Cardinal Onaiyekan is calling for a robust collaboration between Christian and Muslim lawyers to eliminate ethnic and religious bias in the quest to enthrone Justice in Nigeria.

Catholic Bishops Call For More Collaboration In Justice Administration

Onaiyekan was speaking at the 2019 colloquium of the National Association of Catholic lawyers of Nigeria.

The clergy, legal practitioners and politicians gathered to witness the national association of Catholic lawyers mark their 2019 annual conference, with the theme “the role of Catholic lawyers in the church and the nation”.

The Catholic archbishop of Abuja, John Cardinal Onaiyekan advocated a platform that will bring Christian and Muslims lawyers together to tackle the challenge of disunity in the country.

Also speaking, the President Catholic Bishops conference of Nigeria Augustine Akabueze and the Bishop of Sokoto catholic diocese Mathew Hassan Kukah said that Nigeria is in dire need of lawyers that will promote the course of justice despite religious differences.

The occasion marked the official presentation of the association to the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria.
