No fewer than two thousand school children between age six and twelve have been camped as part of the long holiday summer talent hunt clinic in various sports.

The idea which is the initiative of the Cross River State Government with the support of some Federal Lawmakers is aimed at catching the children young in their preffered sporting events.
Chairman of the State Sports Commission, Orok Duke and a member of the House of Representatives, Eta Mbora said the choice of the U.J Esuene Stadium for the event was the availability of various facilities required for the kids.
Some of the school children who have already displaying their skills expressed their minds on their new discoveries.
The summer clinic has coaches in football, basketball volleyball athletics with free accommodation, medications and feeding for the two weeks of camping.
