4 months ago / Judiciary
The Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko  Muhammad has called on the New President of the Customary court of appeal, Justice Abubakar Sadiq to discharge his duties and the obligations of his new office with the utmost sense of fair play, impartiality, and dedication to duty.

The CJN made the call during the swearing in of the President of the Customary Court of Appeal at the ceremonial hall of the Supreme Court in Abuja.
The Nigerian Chief Justice reminded justice Sadiq of the huge task and arduous job before him, charging him to demonstrate purposeful leadership, shun all forms of political pressures and ensure proper coordination of all the justices and activities of the court.
In his response, justice Sadiq pledged to uphold the tenets of the judiciary at all times and promised to do his best for Nigeria by upholding the cardinal principles of the judiciary.
Justice Abubakar SadIq was nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari, pursuant to Section 266(4) of the 1999 Constitution.
