F.G distributes relief materials to disaster victims in Ekiti.

The federal government has commenced the distribution of relief materials to over one thousand victims of natural disasters in Ekiti state, southwest Nigeria.
Distributing the materials to some of the victims in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, minster of mines and steel development kayode fayemi said President Muhammdu Buhari was concerned about the plight of victims of natural disasters like rainstorm and flood, many of whom had been rendered homeless.
The minster, reiterated the federal government’s commitment to supporting victims of natural disasters.
The director general of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Musthapha Yinusa Maihaja said Ekiti state was one out of the twenty seven states that first experienced rainstorm in February 2017.
Governor Ayodele Fayose who was represented at the event by his special adviser on emergency matters Akinwale Rasheed and one of the beneficiaries commended the federal govt. for the gesture.
The relief materials distributed include rice, millet, cement, corrugated iron roofing sheets, nails, asbestos, blankets, mats, clothing's, and toiletries amongst other items.
