FG Approves 6.97bn Naira For Security Equipment Of New UN Building
Federal Executive council on Wednesday approved the sum six point nine seven billion naira for the procurement of State- of -the -Art security gadgets and furniture for the reconstructed United Nations building in Abuja.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Mohammed Bello says when completed by May next year the new building would accommodate all eighteen UN agencies currently operating at different locations after the August 2011 bomblast that destroyed the United Nations office in Abuja.
Minister of finance Kemi Adeosun says all workers in the payroll of the Federal Government will be captured under the Integration Payroll and Personel Information system IPPIS by the end of June this year.
Adeosun confirmed that so far a total of five hundred and eleven Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) had been captured under the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS), with staff count of 607,843.
Briefing Journalists after she presented her ministry's midterm scorecard to the Federal Executive Council on Wednesday, the Finance Minister said paramilitary agencies such as Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Prison Service and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp have also been enrolled under IPPIS.
She said that the introduction of the IPPIS had resulted in the reduction of ghost workers syndrome, enforcement of compliance with due process on employment of staff in MDAs, and prompt and timely payment of salaries and remittances of third parties payments.
Minister of state for Aviation Hadi Sirika announced SEC's approval of one point one billion naira for the purchase of High frequency radio equipment to enhance communication network at some of the nation's airports.
