Governor Okowa to partner with communities to promote investment

Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has promised to partner communities and ethnic unions to help promote investment friendly environment and thereby create more employment opportunities.
Speaking when the President General, Urhobo Progressive Union, Chief Gabriel Ofotukun and members of his executive committee paid him a courtesy visit in Asaba, Governor Okowa said that community leaders and stakeholders have a duty to provide a peaceful and secured environment for investments and industrialization as this would also provide employment for the teeming youths.
While assuring the union that his administration would continue to be fair, just and equitable to all, Senator Okowa urged Deltans to see themselves as one united people.
Earlier, Chief Ofotukun said that they were in Asaba to intimate the Governor of the inauguration of the interim executive committee of the Urhobo Progressive Union and promised to support and cooperate with his administration in its drive for investments and industrialization.
He commended Governor Okowa for the fair and equitable appointments so far made by his administration and appealed to him to take up the issue of non- inclusion of an Urhobo in federal appointments.
