Nigeria’s House of Representatives committee on telecommunications is to conduct fresh and more thorough investigation into the alleging mismanagement of the defunct Etisalat telecommunication company.

The committee disclosed this during an investigative hearing into the collapse of Etisalat now nine mobile  in order to protect  the interest of Nigerian subscribers and other stakeholders.

The executive vice chairman of nigerian communication commission, Umar Dambatta told the committee that the court order which nullified the interim board of nine mobile has not been vacated.

Not happy at the revelations on how the transaction was handled, the committee mandated the interim management of nine mobile to forward all contact addresses and phone numbers of Etisalat and also relevant evidences on threat allegedly issued by Etisalat management that led to the resignation of six directors of Etisalat management.
