Hull Set To Land Everton Striker
Hull City are poised to make their first signing of the January transfer window after reaching a loan deal with Everton for out-of-favour striker Oumar Niasse.
Niasse, 26, only joined Everton in February last year after securing a £13.5m move from Lokomotiv Moscow but failed to make any impression at Goodison Park before being told to find a new club by Ronald Koeman in the summer.
The Senegal international is now poised to add much-needed fresh legs to a thin Hull squad that is deep in a relegation battle, with the Tigers set to pay all of his £55,000-a-week wages.
Marco Silva’s side retain an option in the loan agreement that would allow them to sign the striker in a deal worth a staggering £10m, although much of that is likely to depend on whether Hull manage to beat the drop.
Niasse has spent all of the season playing for Everton’s U-23s after being banished from the first-team by Koeman, where he has scored seven goals in eight matches.
