Middlesbrough’s Coach, Karanka Says No Rush For Boro
Middlesbrough ‘s Head Coach, Aitor Karanka, has said that there won't be hurrying into making further signings.
The Teessiders have so far brought in eight newcomers over the summer, including two goalkeepers, ahead of their long-awaited Premier League return.
Boro opened their new campaign at home to Stoke City on Saturday-week, and the Spaniard ideally wants more cover in central defence.
"We are not in a rush. We have the nucleus of the team so we just need to keep going," Karanka told BBC Tees. "The better players we have, the more chance we have to stay in the Premier League.
"The main things for me is that [the newcomers] are settled in the team really well," he added. "We are mixing players who two-and-a-half years ago were fighting to stay in the Championship with players who were playing in the Champions League. But the spirit of the changing room is the same."
