New Arsenal Signing Cohen Bramall To Wear No.85 Shirt In First Season At Emirates
New Arsenal signing, Cohen Bramall has been handed the No.85 shirt at the Emirates.
The £40,000 arrival from non-League side Hednesford Town is not expected to feature for the Gunners this season though Arsene Wenger is convinced he has a bright future ahead of him.
Bramall has joined Arsenal’s academy setup and will compete with Marc Bola for a starting spot in Steve Gatting’s Under-23 side.
In his first interview as an Arsenal player, Bramall revealed he was modelling himself on Gunners’ full-back Kieran Gibbs, whose contract at the Emirates expires at the end of next season.
Asked to name the left-back’s he is trying to learn from Bramall told the Arsenal website: “Marcelo, Kieran Gibbs, David Alaba.
“They bomb forward, and that’s my key - my speed is the key to overlapping, trying to put the ball into the box and trying to get an assist. That’s what I do.”
Bramall has recorded a best time in the 100m of 10.9 seconds, a mark that would put him in competition with Hector Bellerin to be Arsenal’s sprint king.
