Nigeria Hydrological Agency Allays Fears Of Flooding From Cameroon’s Lagdo Dam
The Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency says there are no indications that the Cameroonian authority has began to release water from the Lagdo Dam as speculated by some reports.

The director engineering hydrology, Clement Nze told AIT in a telephone interview that there is an existing memorandum of understanding between Cameroon and Nigeria to share information before it releases water from the dam.

He also warned of likely flooding in some states along the River Niger as a result of the release of water from Kanji, Jebba and Shiroro Dams
