Nigeria Woos Investors In Liquefied Petroleum Gas

comments
by AIT / 1 year ago / Nation
Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, wants investors looking to invest in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry to explore the potential in the country’s Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).

Kachikwu stated this at a workshop on harmonization of LPG Regulatory Requirement organized by the Ministry in Abuja on Thursday.

For these other industry players, Nigeria has no business being where it is in ranking on the African continent as far as LPG consumption is concerned.

At the moment, Nigeria consumes about 700,000 metric tones annually, a far cry from its potential.
