Nigerian Women Demand Vice Presidential Slot.
The demand was made On Friday when a group of female politicians under the Aegies of Nigerian Female Parliamentarians paid a courtesy call on President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Nigerian Women Demand Vice Presidential Slot.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, which comprises elected lawmakers from the nation’s 36 states, Elizabeth Ativie said Nigerian Women are being marginalized by their male counterparts and expressed dismay that the country only had one principal officer in each of the two chambers of the National Assembly since the return to democracy in 1999.
The women among other things want Nigeria to join the league of other African countries that have adopted twining process which presupposes that if a man emerges the Presidential candidate of a political party, his vice should be a woman.
The women also demanded for one out of the three senatorial seats in a state.
Responding, President Buhari who acknowledged the massive support he enjoyed from Nigerian women during 2003, 2007 and 2015 elections, want the Female Parliamentarians to disabuse the minds of their counterparts that men are out to oppress them.
