Plan For A World Beyond Oil – Osinbajo Tells African Oil Producing Countries
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has urged oil producing countries in Africa to make deliberate plans for a world beyond oil.

Speaking at the extraordinary session of the council of Ministers Of African Petroleum Producers Organization (PPPO) in Abuja on monday, professor osinbajo warned that over dependence on oil could spell doom for the continent.
Citing the sudden drop in the price of crude oil between 2014 and 2015 as a bitter experience for Nigeria, the vice president appealed to other african countries to take a cue from Nigeria and diversify their economies away from overdependence on one commodity.
The extra-ordinary session of the council of ministers of African Petroleum Producers Organization (APPO) is holding to explore ways of tackling some of the challenges confronting the organization.
Highlight of the event was the official handing over by the out-going President, Michel Boukar to the in-coming president Nigeria’s Minister Of State For Petroleum Ibe Kachikwu.
