Police Recover Illegal Arms In Kano
Police in Kano have recovered arms and ammunition voluntarily surrendered by owners to the Taskforce Committee raised to retrieve arms illegally possessed.

This followed the directives of Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, on voluntary declaration of arms to all Commissioners of Police.
Giving a breakdown of arms recovered, Police Commissioner, Rabiu Yusuf, said 37 assault rifles, 23 pistols and 127 cartridges were recovered.
The Commissioner said voluntary return of arms and ammunitions will help Police ensure security of lives and property in the build up to the 2019 elections.
Inspector General of Police had asked all Police Commissioners to recover arms illegally possessed in their respective Commands.
