Task Force On Electricity Theft Inaugurated For South-East

Nigeria’s ministry of justice has inaugurated an investigation team for the Enugu electricity distribution company EEDC.

The team in collaboration with officials of Enugu distribution company is to investigate, arrest and recommend for prosecution, those involved in the theft of electricity facilities in the five south-eastern state.

This taskforce is coming on the heels of a similar panel inaugurated in 2017 for the Abuja electricity distribution company to curb energy theft in Abuja and environs.
