UNIBEN Honours NFF President Pinnick, Others For Sports Excellence
The university of Benin on Tuesday, held a sports award ceremony in Benin city, Edo state, south south Nigeria to celebrate and honour students, staff and alumni of the institution for their immense contributions to the development of sports in the school and Nigeria.

Among those recognized were the president of the Nigeria football federation, Amaju Pinnick and AIT’s Omofoma Ebare.
It was a day set aside for the reward of excellence as the university of Benin sports award 2018 came up in Benin City.
The award ceremony was organized to recognize students, staff and alumni of the higher institution, doing well for the school and Nigeria in the field of sports.
Under the distinguished alumni awardees category was the president of the Nigeria football federation, Amaju Pinnick, who appreciated the honour done him by his Alma Mata.
The NFF president also spoke on the preparedness of the super eagles for the world cup in June.
Other alumni awardees including AIT’s Omofoma Ebare, and former speaker, delta state house of assembly, Victor Ochei; appreciative of the gesture, see the recognition as a call to further service.
Special guests awards went to Edo state deputy governor, Philip Shaibu, national chairman, Nigeria football supporters club, Vincent Okumagba, among others
